SUMMER STREET
Summer Street is a three-piece pop-punk band from Honolulu, Hawaii comprised of Scott Magsayo (vocals/guitar), Rylen Nakama (bass), and Jared Tomi (drums). The group formed in 2017 after the band members met at local rock shows. Led by primary songwriter Magsayo, the Summer Street sound combines R&B-influenced vocals and the dynamic arrangements of pop-punk/alternative music.
The group claimed First Place at the 2019 Osoyami Battle of the Bands, and had opportunities to open for national touring acts including Jimmy Eat World, Hawthorne Heights, Emarosa, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Hellogoodbye, and Tiny Moving Parts. Summer Street’s first full-length album “Secrets and Regrets” was released in 2019 and they have remained active throughout the pandemic with songwriting and live performances. Their second album is due for release in late 2023.
