Born David Lee Crow in Phoenix, Arizona, GHASTLY came from humble beginnings on his family’s dairy farm. From childhood, he was an entertainer and an entrepreneur, giving guided tours to field trips that visited the farm and selling his toys and T-shirts on his days off. Despite his modest upbringing, David knew from early on that music was his life’s calling, diving into production and recording his own music by the age of 12. As a teenager, he formed a death metal/grindcore band called The Irish Front, performing as its vocalist. Their success allowed him to tour the country, and he became hooked on both the energy of the crowd and the thrill of performing.

Ultimately, The Irish Front decided to go their separate ways, prompting David to take the plunge as a solo artist. He bought a van, saved up $1,000, said goodbye to his family and friends, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his music career with no connections – only a stubborn dream. After years of very little success, David finally found his footing as a solo artist under the moniker “GHASTLY” when he produced a high-profile collaboration with Lil Jon and Mija, titled “Crank It,” released via Skrillex’s world-famous record label, OWSLA.

In 2018, GHASTLY debuted The Mystifying Oracle, his first full-length record spanning 13 supernatural tracks. Shortly after its release, GHASTLY brought his dream to life on The Mystifying Oracle Tour, giving audiences across the United States an unforgettable live experience with its one-of-a-kind stage production. In 2019, GHASTLY turned another concept into reality with the debut of his fully interactive Haunted House stage at his headline show at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium.

2022 marked a new chapter for GHASTLY, beginning with the release of his highly anticipated sophomore album, Haunted Haus. The album showcased his unique take on both house and future bass, and debuted in the top 5 Dance albums on Apple Music. Following the album’s release, GHASTLY kicked off his Haunted Haus Tour, bringing the energy and production of his live shows to the next level, and delivering an electrifying experience to audiences across North America.

In the spring of 2022, David took his artistry further by introducing a much more sonically heavy project known as “GHENGAR.” Inspired by his love for metal music, GHENGAR sets are where David is able to completely cut loose with his most aggressive tracks. After creating a massive stir with the introduction of this new project, David released his debut EP as GHENGAR, NECROMANCER EP, earning him top placements on a number of notable playlists on various streaming platforms and expanding his audience tenfold. In the fall of 2022, GHENGAR set out across North America on the NECROMANCER Tour, giving fans an entirely new jaw-dropping experience with his signature mask and horror-inspired production.

David’s musical style is continuously evolving, resulting in a discography that spans a multitude of genres. His ability to produce tracks that range anywhere from tugging at the listeners’ heartstrings to breaking vertebral columns is unparalleled. Whether spinning thumping house tunes as GHASTLY or heavy bass tracks as GHENGAR, David has an abundance of cursed tricks up his sleeve…the evolution continues.
