Ekali is a musician hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia. Bursting onto the scene in 2015 with raw and authentic Soundcloud bootleg remixes, he quickly went from obscurity to making music with the likes of Denzel Curry and Skrillex, and performing at festivals around the world such as Coachella, Tomorrowland and EDC – and selling out venues like The Shrine in Los Angeles on a headline tour promoting his debut album, ‘A World Away’.

Ekali’s first foray into music production began with 2 writing credits on Drake’s “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” – and that style of music clearly carries its way through his production to this day. The name Ekali is synonymous with his Mix Series, Awakening – which eventually manifested as his label – Awakening Records.

Not known for sticking to one sound, Ekali’s music treads the line between melodic and hard – able to execute high energy hip hop and trap yet also ethereal vocal tracks with deep lyricism and songwriting. At an Ekali show, you can expect a wide variety of genres and sounds tied together neatly – and his reputation as an expert DJ and curator has cemented him as one of the most respected tastemakers in the trap and bass scene.
