Blues Jam with JP Smoketrain
Tuesday is Blues Day!
J.P. Smoketrain and Hawaiian Brian’s is keeping the blues alive every Tuesday night. Come join us for an intimate gathering of some of Hawaii’s finest blues musicians. J.P. and an all star- lineup begin the night with a traditional blues set, then guest musicians are invited to jam on stage. Dancing is encouraged. Popcorn is free. Drinks are reasonably priced. The vibe is welcoming for travelers and locals alike.
There is no cover and the show is 8-11 in the Studio.
Hawaii’s number one blues musician, J.P. Smoketrain, has opened for B.B. King, Boz Skaggs and Buddy Miles, among others; and has performed and led bands for more than 2 decades.
His opening all -star lineup for Blues Night in the Studio usually includes Bob Hernandez (bass), Harry Nakano (guitar), Ron Gaines (drums), Robbie Ault (guitar) and Pat Rawson (keyboards). Alternates include Mondo (bass), Kurt Thompson (keyboards) and Maurice ‘Mofessor’ (Bass, keyboards). Other local and touring musicians join in, so every Tuesday is a new and special event.
