ABOUT IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE

Born Felipe Andres Coronel is a Peruvian-American rapper, political activist, and independent artist widely recognized for his uncompromising lyricism and revolutionary ethos. Emerging from Harlem, New York, in the late 1990s, he built a global following outside of the major-label system—releasing music through his own imprint, Viper Records, and cultivating a grassroots audience drawn to his raw delivery and socially conscious content.

His breakout project, Revolutionary Vol. 1 (2001), introduced a confrontational style rooted in anti-imperialism, systemic critique, and class consciousness. He followed with Revolutionary Vol. 2 (2003), which included the viral underground narrative “Dance with the Devil,” and later The 3rd World (2008), a politically charged album addressing global inequality, U.S. foreign policy, and media manipulation. His music blends dense internal rhyme schemes with polemical storytelling, placing him firmly within the lineage of radical hip-hop.

Beyond the studio, Immortal Technique is known for activism and community engagement. He has funded schools and orphanages in Afghanistan, supported prison-reform initiatives, and consistently speaks on issues including economic injustice, corporate influence in government, and human rights.
